WHY AREN'T YOU WORKING ON YOUR GAME SPEED ?
You're currently spending most of your time learning the technical side of your sport. Throwing, kicking, hitting, catching, shooting , etc. Are you paying enough attention to you're running form, balance, flexibility, and agility? If you skip over these developmental skills and continue to focus on your sports technique, this will only get you so far. Long term athletic success will be based upon what type of athlete you are, not on your individual sport technique.
What makes an athlete 'FAST' ? Is it simply their ability to accelerate from point A to point B? I believe this is only one small component of speed. The average athletic exchange lasts less than seven seconds and is broken up by multiple changes in direction. For this reason, few athletes ever reach top speed during competition.
